Duna Celebrates the Release of Kachka: A Return to Russian Cooking!

Duna will host a family- style, multi-course dinner in celebration of Portland-based chef Bonnie Frumkin Morales’ new book Kachka: A Return to Russian Cooking! cookbook to be published in the U.S. in 30 years, Kachka not only provides comforting, traditional, and cheeky modern recipes, but also celebrates Russia’s culinary heritage with a look at the varied political, cultural, and geographic forces at play around the Russian table.

In celebration of the book’s debut, Duna will welcome Chef Bonnie into the kitchen alongside Chef Nick for a $65 per person, 4-course menu that will showcase signature and joint dishes, such as Kachka’s Herring Under a Fur Coat and Rabbit in a Clay Pot. A $38 beverage pairing will feature contemporary approaches, will come together for two festive evenings.

Guests are able to purchase a copy of the book ($40) when reserving tickets online.
